Remember What We Did? If Our Past Could Talk.

Remember the stain on our hands from this act of disdain?
Do you remember the names of each person affected; considering a more permanent and qualifying power than that of a stain?
Unlike our twice removed stains in the natural, our hand is drenched in a past that was cruel to humanity.

Those that were affected by the institution of the Transatlantic Slave Trade weren’t black, and they weren’t even white, they were simply human. While their genes may code for these specific phenotypic traits, each person is simply a human being worthy of living a life with freedom and not materials subjected to psychological and physical conflict. Remember this acknowledgement that was set forth after the body floating plague business? Well you’re right in the way you remember it; it never happened!

To dispel some of the ignorance though, there’s a move, there’s a “heard voice,” there’s a force that is concerned with the aftermath in: healing, acknowledgment, and awareness of this dark past.

I Will Never Be President

It's hard for me to see any sign of which I want to see.
These signs are mere shrines of a badly broken harmony.
No hope, no dream, all  I have is dependency;
I'm unable to be my own citizen, so I trust others to do it for me.

Growing up is hard when you live in America without access to a slight site of the dream.
We can surely see ourselves as doctors and lawyers, but as president never stitched at the seam.
I will never be a to serve in the highest level of government; nope, not as commander in chief.
To think that no matter how smart, how talented, how insightful, in the race for that position I'm way below Kanye, Minaj, and my boy, Keef.

100 Years A Slave

100 years as unincorporated and here is what it means,
I means that we are "out of sight" because we are not seen
We're not seen until something bad happens, that is the real truth.
At least on this road to the "promised dream" we would be like Ruth.

Statehood, incorporation, all far-fetched to me.
Independence may be the answer, but many are too afraid to see.
Hear me loud, hear me clear, I am a reckoning voice,
But for the entire population and its thoughts, I do not hold their choice
